Enrichment Opportunities 

REEX JumpStart

This program is targeted to current high school Juniors (rising Seniors) and is an immersive 2-week residential program focused on introducing young scholars to core real estate fundamentals and opportunities within the Commercial Real Estate industry. Scholars will be provided training and exposure to entrepreneurs, industry executives, and classes will be led by college faculty. The 2022 host universities include:

The Host Institutes: New York University, Harvard University, M.I.T, Cornell University, Howard University & University of Miami

The LEAD Global Summer Learning Institute (GSLI)

The LEAD Global Summer Learning Institute (GSLI) will be a 3-week immersive learning experience which will be  virtual for the first week and scholars will spend two weeks on-campus during the residential portion of GSLI. Our program will provide diverse, high-achieving rising high school seniors exposure to business principles and the skill sets needed for successful business careers, along with the opportunity to explore finance, entrepreneurship, accounting, marketing, and technology, among other business sectors.

Girls in the Game Leadership Institute


**May 7th 10am-2:30pm

A fun day of yoga, self-care and interviewing skills. Girls will also get to mingle with powerful women professionals. Teens who attend will get a chance to interview for and get priority acceptance for our summer employment programs. Lunch is included. Girls can sign up by going to this Eventbrite Link. There are buses across the city that they can sign up for that will bring them to the event.

Cradles to Crayons Teen Leadership Corps

Cradles to Crayons’ mission is to provide children from birth through age 12, living in homeless or low-income situations, with the essential items they need to thrive -at home, at school and at play. We supply these items free of charge by engaging and connecting with different communities. Our TLC program provides teen leaders the opportunity to be a part of this mission and vision.  
The Teen Leadership Corps is an opportunity for students entering grades 10-12 to gain leadership skills through in-person service-learning projects, and then put those skills into practice by engaging their communities in product collections and by raising awareness about the need for and work of Cradles to Crayons

Latino Health Science Enrichment Program (LaHSEP) at UIC


*This program is for current seniors admitted to UIC and/or who will be attending a four year institution in the fall of 2022.

LaHSEP Track 3 is a six-week in-person summer academic enrichment program. The program provides participants the opportunity to prepare for college by taking Math, English, Chemistry and engaging in research. This is a great opportunity for first year undergraduate students with a career goal in medicine or the health sciences to get a jump start before the semester begins and make new friends, meet faculty, and work with staff. A wonderful benefit of participating in LaHSEP Track 3 is that it offers a $600.00 stipend for students who successfully complete the six-week program.

floChicago will select a cohort of high school juniors to participate in its flagship leadership program consisting of meetings and retreats throughout the 2022-23 school year. This diverse cohort of students will have the opportunity to engage with some of Chicago's most prominent leaders, work with diverse leaders from throughout the Chicago area, and gain exposure to a wide variety of challenges and opportunities facing Chicago. The program is offered at no cost to participants. To be eligible, students must be high school juniors and must have a demonstrable track record of leadership, the ability to work in a diverse group, a strong attendance record, and a minimum 2.7 GPA.

Mikva Summer Fellow Internship

  • We are seeking rising seniors or soon-to-be graduates interested in paid summer internships in the office of a city, county, state or federal lawmaker.
  • Mikva Summer Fellows will be part of a professional development cohort focused on developing work readiness skills including communication, collaboration, critical thinking, public speaking, and teamwork. 
  • Youth will work 30 hours a week for 6 weeks between late June and early August, and be paid $15 per hour. 
  • Youth must show proof of vaccination to participate. 

Mikva Citywide Youth Council

  • We are seeking youth in grades 9-11who are passionate about making a change in their community and who want to make their voices heard.
  • Citywide Youth Councils allow youth to have a voice in the formation, implementation, and evaluation of public policy; our councils address issues in public education, juvenile justice reform, teen health and youth-police relations.
  • Youth will work 20 hours a week for 6 weeks from July 5 - August 12, and be paid $14-15 per hour.

Engineering Tomorrow's Careers Camp at UW Madison

ETC offers an incredible opportunity to grow young students’ passion for and knowledge of STEM topics while connecting them with professionals studying, teaching, and working in engineering fields to provide support and guidance. 

Activities include:

  • Experiments and hands-on activities that explore STEM on UW Madison’s engineering campus 

  • Industry guests sharing about their careers in STEM, as well as leading workshops to challenge campers’ problem-solving skills

  • Hear from professors from different fields in engineering about research and the many possibilities of academic paths within engineering

  • Ask questions to a panel of students from engineering and beyond to learn more about college life and how to choose a college or major


MAPS Corp Summer Opportunities

The MAPSCorps Field Researcher & Mapper is a data scientist, community strategist, and motivated high school freshman who is devoted to the STEM field and closing the information gap in Chicago. The Field Researcher & Mapper is committed to learning how to produce high-quality data about community assets that everyone can use to improve the human condition through data analysis, research methods, advocacy building, and professional development. The Field Researcher & Mapper should be personally committed to professional development, educational attainment, and social justice. This is an in-person position, applicants must reside in the city of Chicago.

Online academic enrichment programs featuring a wide variety of disciplines—including business, computer science, humanities, math, science, social justice, and more—allowing students to investigate advanced topics beyond the typical high school curriculum. Students engage in discussion-based online classes with instructors who are scholars in their fields and passionate about teaching.

Inspirit AI

Interdisciplinary artificial intelligence program developed and taught by graduate students from Stanford and MIT. Spring program is best suited for students who are more interested in an immersive 10-week experience to explore the ins-and-outs of AI with their peers. Summer Program also available

Georgetown University Online Pre-College

The online Pre-College programs help students ages 13 and older explore their interests. Through participating in our courses, students can discover if an interest could lead to a college major or even a future career.

Yale Young Global Scholars

A two-week summer program that facilitates discussions on cutting-edge topics in academia. Choose a session based on your academic interest, and meet like-minded students from around the world. YYGS offers sessions in the humanities, social sciences, STEM fields, and a cross-disciplinary track that incorporates all of the above.

Junior Economic Club Chicago 

Junior Economic of Chicago (JEC) is a selective student-run organization whose members have access to exclusive networking events, internships, workshops, scholarships, volunteer opportunities, private tours, job shadows, and more


Cost: $400 per course 

** As part of our mission we are offering scholarship slots to students in need. With the start of the school year, we decided to expand the number of weekly courses we offer, resulting in a handful of scholarship spots available. 

Inter-Acting is an 8 week long, online leadership course with an emphasis on SEL. Each week incorporates a different SEL principle:

Self-Regulation, Self-Talk, Resiliency, Empathy, Assertive Communication, Taking Accountability, Inner Validation, and Gratitude. Video! 

Blissful Coding Club 

The Blissful Coding Club is proud to open student registration and Fall internships for the Fall 2021 session of our FREE VIRTUAL coding camps, classes, and workshops! We offer Scratch, Python, Cybersecurity, Personal Finance, and more, of all levels.


These classes have opened signups for all students of different levels, in grades 2-12. Parents can sign students up and learn more about the program using this form here


We are offering unpaid Fall internships and nonprofit volunteer opportunities as well for students in grades 10-12 as well as CS major college undergrad/grad students.

Pre-College Programs with Summer Discovery

For Summer Discovery, this year’s line-up includes our partner universities, including UCLA, UCSB, CU-Boulder, UT-Austin, University of Michigan, Georgetown University, Cambridge University, and Hult International Business School, London, ready to deliver an unforgettable pre-college summer experience for middle and high schools students. Coming soon are the applications for the University of Pennsylvania and the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
