We are now in the last quarter of high school for the Class of 2022, and graduation is fast approaching!  The coming weeks are packed with important and exciting senior activities and events. Listed below is important information for parents and seniors.
Senior Exams – June 1-2
    • Final exams will be during regular school hours on June 1 (periods 1-4) and June 2 (periods 5-7). 
    • Students are expected to be in attendance and in class all day on exam days.
    • Teachers will begin collecting books.
  • Locker clean-out will begin on Wednesday, June 1, and conclude Thursday, June 2. 
  • Students should leave their lock on the locker. Please do not remove it. 
Last School Day for Seniors – June 2
  • Exams periods 5-7
  • Final locker clean-out and book collection if not completed before.
  • Pay fees in the Main Office.
  • Starting at 1:45 PM senior dismissal, yearbooks will be distributed in the North Campus. 

Graduation Rehearsal – 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM, June 3, North Campus Auditorium
  • Participation in the graduation rehearsal is mandatory. 
  • All students have been charged a graduation fee ($125) which includes a diploma cover, cap and gown, program, class photo, and venue rental. No refunds can be made if fees are paid and the student is ineligible to attend. Fee waivers were applied to those who qualified. 
  • Graduation rehearsal will be held on Friday, June 3, 10:00 AM, in the North Campus Auditorium. Following the rehearsal, seniors will pay any outstanding fees and collect their graduation packet.
  • A debt letter (as of April 29, 2022) is enclosed. The students’ accounts must be settled as soon as possible in order to participate in the graduation ceremony.
  • To make a payment, please mail check or money order, or stop by the Main Office to make a cash, check or credit card payment between 7:30AM-4:00 PM. No checks for senior debts will be accepted after May 20, 2022. Contact the Main Office if you have questions regarding your student’s account.
Senior Honors Convocation Wednesday, May 25 – 6:30 PM, Robin Bennett Theater  
  • Seniors who are receiving special honors at our May 25 convocation will receive a special invitation to attend the ceremony with their parents and guests. 
  • Due to limited seating in the Robin Bennett Theater, seniors who have not received an invitation will be able to attend the program on a space available basis.  
Graduation Ceremony Tickets
  • Tickets – Each student will receive six (6) tickets in their graduation packet. The Auditorium Theatre requires one ticket for every person attending the ceremony. Graduates do not require a ticket.
  • Extra tickets – Students may request a maximum of four (4) extra tickets. Additional tickets are subject to availability and not guaranteed. Request extra tickets using the website below by May 23, 2022.
  • Unused tickets – Please return any unused tickets to the Main Office prior to the ceremony.
  • Special Request – Guests that may have mobility issues can request special wheelchair accessible seating. A special entrance with limited seating is available
  • Lost tickets will not be replaced.

Graduation Ceremony  – 6:00 PM June 5 
  • Graduation will be held at the Auditorium Theatre (50 East Congress Parkway – Roosevelt University) and the theater opens for guests at 5:00 PM.
  • Seniors report to Jones and must be in cap and gown, lined up in the courtyard by 5:15 PM. We will then process to the Auditorium Theatre.
  • A professional photographer will take pictures of each graduate receiving his or her diploma. These can be purchased online after the ceremony. 
  • The Auditorium Theater will open doors at 5:00 PM and seating is first-come, first-served basis. 
  • After the ceremony, students will return to the Jones South Lobby to pick up their diploma, immunization record, and other important documents.
  • COVID Protocols: 
    • The Auditorium Theater requires that all graduates, staff, and guests wear masks while in the theater and have proof of vaccination or a negative COVID -19 PCR test taken within 72 hours prior to the event start time or a negative antigen test taken within 6 hours of the event start time. 
    • For graduates and staff, school administration will confirm this information and submit it to The Auditorium Theater in advance of the ceremony. Details will follow.
    • Graduation speakers may remove masks to speak, and all graduates are allowed to remove them to take their photo upon receipt of their diploma on stage.
REMEMBER!  School is still in session. As previously stated, all rules and policies regarding attendance, academic expectations, and behavior are in place. Do not jeopardize your participation in the graduation ceremony.
