As of this posting, Jones Juniors who are scheduled to take the PSAT/NMSQT on Tuesday, January 26, should plan to arrive at school at the times indicated in our previous communications. Please plan for extra time, as travel conditions may cause delays. Please see the the attached information for details.

Martin Luther King, Jr. Day

January 18 - Make it a Day ON, not a day off. Dr. King recognized the power of service. He famously said, "Everyone can be great because everybody can serve." Observing the Martin Luther King, Jr. federal holiday through service is a way to begin each year with a commitment to making your community a better place. Discover volunteer opportunities, events, books, and other information that can be used to honor Dr. King through service.

Nominate a Peer Conference Leader

The Jones Administration has enlisted the services of Alternatives, Inc. - an agency that supports and empowers Chicago youth to build safer and more vibrant communities. Starting in January a representative of Alternatives will train approximately 15 sophomores and juniors to become Peer Conference Leaders. [click on the title for details]
