January 17 - Make it a Day ON, not a day off. Dr. King recognized the power of service. He famously said, "Everyone can be great because everybody can serve." Observing the Martin Luther King, Jr. federal holiday through service is a way to begin each year with a commitment to making your community a better place. Discover volunteer opportunities, events, books, and other information that can be used to honor Dr. King through service.

Earlier today we learned of a potential student walk-out throughout the district tomorrow, Friday, January 14. Student organizers in the city have expressed that they have concerns over COVID-19 safety and that their voices have not been heard during the recent class cancellations. Wednesday, January 12, 2022, is now a regular B-Day, and students will be released at 3:15 PM.

School resumes January 12 - In order to stay on track with our A/B calendar, Wednesday, January 12, will be a B Day, as scheduled.
