ATHLETIC & TEAM FEES

Athletic Fee - All JCP athletes are charged a $225 athletic fee that will be uploaded to ASPEN after rosters are set. An email will be sent to families once the fee has been issued. These fees are what make up our athletic budget and they cover: buses, referee fees, non-conference games, equipment, school owned uniforms, infrastructure costs, and more. Please note this fee is non-waivable.

Team Fees - may be charged on top of the athletic fees - these are usually collected in our teams booster accounts and they cover items such as uniforms the school does not use, non CPS vendor items, team food, etc.

BUILDING ACCESS
As you may be aware CPS has undergone several budget cuts this year. Jones is committed to working to keep the building open as much as possible. During non-game days the building is open 6am-6:30pm Monday through Friday. On Game Days the building will be open until the completion of the event.

In the past the building has been open on Saturdays, with a district wide rental covering the cost of additional staffing hours. Due to CPS budget constraints this program was cut by the city, meaning that Saturdays became JCP’s fiscal responsibility. Athletics has collaborated with admin to be able to open the building on select Saturdays despite the current district constraints. We are committed to continuing to identify additional solutions for all of our teams.

Finally, we recognize that JCP athletes travel from all different directions, oftentimes taking multiple modes of public transportation to get to and from practice. If athletes arrive significantly before 6:00 AM they may not have access to the building. Likewise, please ensure students are picked up promptly after practices and games to be respectful to our overtime staff.

We look forward to a great Winter Sports Season.

Sincerely,

AD Gilmer
