Schools start at 8:00 AM on Monday, August 21. Plan to arrive by 7:45 in order to go through security. We will have a special schedule for the first two days of school. See the Link below for details. As a reminder, the CTA is free for all students on the first day of school.
Jones Opening Days Schedule 2023-2024

9th-grade students will receive their IDs on the first day of school. Please bring the lanyard you received at Freshman Summer Engagement. All other students should remember to bring their school ID.

We will have a few changes to the Academic Lab Period. However, the spirit of the Academic Lab period remains the same.

Reminder about Student Safety:
Student safety is a top priority at Jones. Our security team works diligently to keep students safe from harm. The security team does regular perimeter checks of the school and has increased presence outside at arrival and dismissal times. To assist in keeping the Jones community safe:

Please be aware of your surroundings and limit distractions.

Do not walk alone when at all possible.

Look out for your classmates.

If you see something, say something.

Only use designated entrances/exits, do not open doors for anyone. Everyone must enter through the main entrance at 700 S. State.
