One is with the University of Chicago Medicine Comprehensive Cancer Center, in their Chicago EYES on Cancer program. This is a competitive program with a 4% acceptance rate. 320 applications were received for 14 slots.
The other offer is from the University of Illinois Cancer Center's ResearcHStart program at the University of Illinois at Chicago. 270 applications were received for 30 slots. Usually, applicants to these programs get selected for either one but Freddy was given both to be able to choose one of them.
