Columbia College 
The Columbia College Community Schools initiative is offering a Summer Program at Jones. Classes will run twice a week Monday - Thursday, 9:00 am - 1:00 pm starting June 12th and ending July 13th. The Community Schools program hires excellent Teaching Artists from around the city that have danced with artists like Madonna, and worked on movies like Candy Man (Say My Name). Students in previous programs have created their own songs, shot documentaries, and showcased their photographic work. Students will be able to gather knowledge from the creative community at Columbia College. If your student is looking for an outlet for their creative passions, consider enrolling them in one of our Summer 2023 activities.

Summer School

The last day to sign up for summer school is Wednesday, May 24, 2023

Jones College Prep is offers Summer School courses for next year’s sophomores, juniors, and seniors. Please note the following:

  • Enrollment is limited to current Jones students and is on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Students may enroll in only one course for the summer term.
  • All classes meet CPS/Jones College Prep graduation requirements.
  • Classes are taught by Jones teachers.
  • Students enrolled in one of these summer courses are expected to attend all classes. Excessive absenteeism can lead to loss of credit.

Dates:                   June 12 - July 21, 2023
Times:                  Monday - Thursday + 2 Fridays* 8:00 am - 1:30 pm
Tuition:                $300**

 

*Friday, June 23 will be a makeup date for June 19 holiday & Friday, July 21 will be a makeup date for July 4 holiday.


**Tuition ($300) may be paid by cash, check, or money order payable to Jones College Prep. Please return your tuition to the Main Office. Once we receive the official roster, the class will be added to the student's account. At that time, parents/caregivers can pay with a credit card through Parent Portal.

Attention juniors and seniors! If you are looking for help with the SAT, Jones College Prep is offering an SAT boot camp course this summer from July 7-21 from 8am-12pm. This is a FREE class aimed to help you with your math and verbal scores, and it is open to rising juniors and any seniors looking to retake the SAT. The first day, Friday July 7th, will be a full SAT benchmark test, and each day after will be devoted to learning and practicing the skills needed for success on the SAT. FRESHMAN SUMMER ENGAGEMENT
Date(s): July 24-28 or July 31-Aug. 4
Navigate Jones: full of activities and designed especially to help you get acquainted with faculty, the building layout, and your classmates.

 

We invite YOU to our first-year student orientation, Freshman Summer Engagement, taking place July 24-28 or July 31-Aug 4, Monday through Friday, 8am - 12pm. Freshman Connection will give you an opportunity to:


  • Participate in community building lessons and activities with JCP teachers, Eagle Mentors, and your new classmates 
  • Take a tour of JCP and learn more about our school
  • Learn more about the South Loop neighborhood 
  • Meet some of the Eagle Mentors that will support you next year
    AND, most importantly,

  • Build connections with your first-year classmates.
