World Languages
It is the belief of the World Language Department at Jones that the ability to communicate with speakers of other languages not only enriches the lives of our students and better prepares them for a global society, but that it also helps them to gain a deeper understanding of world cultures and to think critically about their place in this world.
Our mission is to encourage and empower our students to discover, explore and apply the knowledge of another language and culture to their everyday lives. To accomplish this, we strive to create an almost 100% immersive experience within our classes with authentic materials and student-led activities.
Our goals and lessons incorporate the 5 C’s National Standards:

Many students receive:
Seal of Biliteracy and are part of the National Spanish Honor Society
