As a high school principal, I have seen my primary responsibility as that of instructional leader and have been directly involved in the development of curricular, instructional, and co-curricular programs that optimize student learning and development.  I have followed an active, hands-on approach to all aspects of the school, providing support and professional development for teachers and minimizing distractions that interfere with the classroom.  Working as a team, we have affected vast improvement in such areas as Advanced Placement, college testing, accelerated curriculum, special services for struggling students, school-family communications, and school safety and security.  I also take an active role in the life of the school beyond the classroom, promoting and supporting a wide variety of extra and co-curricular activities essential for student growth and a positive, healthy school culture. I have been deeply committed to working with the faculty, staff, parents, and district administration in the development of goals, accreditation, continuous school improvement initiatives, and strategic planning.
