The Jones College Prep Selective Enrollment Open House is your chance to tour the building, meet faculty members, learn more about our curriculum, athletics, and student life, and talk with current students.
We anticipate large crowds and encourage guests to arrive early. Open House kicks off with a Welcome session every 30 minutes starting at 10:00 AM. Many of our staff members are present each year, making Open House an excellent opportunity to meet your future teachers.

Q: Does Jones offer shadow days?
A: No, we only offer one Open House in October.
Q: My family is moving to the Chicago Loop and would like to attend Jones.
A: Jones is a selective enrollment, not a neighborhood school, so students come from across the city. Living in close proximity to the school does not guarantee acceptance, and students still must apply through Go.CPS.edu.
Q: Are there other opportunities to tour the school or meet the faculty?
A: We recommend coming to a public school event like a performing arts or sports event. While you won't be able to meet the teachers or tour the school, you will be able to get a sense of the school atmosphere. See the events calendar and athletic calendar.
Q: Do we need to RSVP to the Open House?
A: No, the event is open to everyone on a first-come basis.
Parking
There are many parking lots in the South Loop—several located on State Street, across from the Jones. Come early to get a good spot. Parking in the area can range from $10 to $25+, and weekend rates may vary.
