B.A. from Loyola University Chicago M.Ed. from Loyola University Chicago Ed.D. from Loyola University Chicago Julie Achettu is the chairperson for curriculum of the Technology Department. At the moment, Dr. Achettu teaches Freshman Academy and Advanced Computer Projects. She changed the technology curriculum so that the students will learn more programming rather than operations and maintenance. Therefore, A+ Certification and Advanced Computer Projects/Yearbook are now electives for all students to take. The Technology strand now has students learning VB Net, C++, and AP Java. She was the Supervisor of the ETC Student Business called JAM Graphics Plus. She started this small business in 2001 with 6 tech students. She came up with the idea to create CPS elementary websites, create desktop publishing items for CPS schools, and adult technology training taught by the students. She has choreographed Indian fashion shows and Indian dances for the Asian Club since April 2000. Her dissertation topic was on the retention of successful women in the field of computer science. Dr. Achettu is also a core professor for TUI University and an adjunct professor for Argosy University. Currently, she teaches masters/doctoral level courses. She loves spending time with her husband and daughters.
