Gay-Straight Alliance

Meetings: Every Thursday, 7:15am in Room 407

Mission: The Gay-Straight Alliance is a school based support group which provides students with a safe place to meet and talk about various personal, school, home, and community issues, as well as issues relating to sexual orientation. The group also gives gay, lesbian, bisexul, questioning, and heterosexual students a safe place to discuss their feelings and fears related to sexual orientation. The group aims to help redue anti-gay violence, harassment and discrimination by educating the school community about homophobia and by encouraging a greater degree of understanding froms tudents an dschool personnel. The GSA will also work to help change the climate of the school in a way that encourages greater diversity and makes it a safer place for all students.
